Field Assistant (Part-Time)

Hourly Wage: $15–20/hr (based on experience)
Schedule: Part-Time
Location: Field-based; primary service area within ~90 miles (overnight travel ~25%)
Schedule: Weather- and season-dependent; flexible schedule with extended days during spray windows
Position Overview:
Monarch Drone Solutions is seeking multiple dedicated and hard-working Part-Time Field Assistants to support our drone pilots in agricultural operations. The primary objective of this role is to minimize drone downtime by ensuring fast, safe, and efficient "pit stops" for battery changes and payload refills in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Assist drone pilots with setup, operation, and cleanup
Refill drone spray or seed payloads during operations
Change and manage drone batteries safely and efficiently
Perform visual safety inspections of the drone at every stop
Maintain a clean and organized field setup and teardown process
Load, unload, and transport equipment as needed
Travel to and work in various field locations throughout Southwest and South Central Missouri
What We're Looking For (requirements for this role)
Ability to lift heavy items (50-75+ lbs)
Comfortable working long days in outdoor conditions
Must be safety-conscious and detail-oriented
Valid driver’s license. Must have reliable transportation to field locations.
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn drone safety protocols and standard operating procedures
Experience that we prefer (but not required of this role)
Familiarity with flight controllers, ESCs, batteries, and payload systems
Strong agricultural background with practical field knowledge
