Position Overview:
Monarch Drone Solutions–a Drone sales, service and commercial application company– is seeking a full-time Drone Technician to become the technical backbone of our operation, ensuring customers and internal fleet stay in the air when it matters most.
This role is hands-on and execution-focused: diagnosing problems, completing high-quality repairs, and turning equipment around quickly and reliably.
While the immediate need is someone who can own repairs and do them right, this position is designed to grow into a Service Manager role for the right individual.
You’ll work out of our fully equipped shop in Republic, MO, with access to a field service truck, specialized tools, and manufacturer training—supporting operators across Southwest Missouri, South Central Missouri, and Northwest Arkansas.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, maintain, and repair agricultural and commercial UAV systems
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues
Perform pre and post-mission inspections and quality checks
Execute firmware updates, calibrations, and system integrations
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and service history
Manage and track parts inventory in coordination with the team
Provide technical support to internal pilots and external customers
Travel regionally for on-site diagnostics and field repairs when needed
Uphold a high standard of workmanship, safety, and accountability
What We're Looking For:
Experience repairing drones (DJI, EAVision, Autel) or similar technical equipment (small engines, electronics, ag equipment, etc.)
Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical, electrical, and software systems
Familiarity with flight controllers, ESCs, batteries, and payload systems
Highly organized with attention to detail in both repairs and documentation
Self-motivated and able to work independently without constant oversight
Ability to lift and carry 50-75+ lbs
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally
FAA Part 107 is a plus, but not required

Clear path to Service Manager for individuals who demonstrate ownership, leadership, and consistency
Tools & Support Provided
Fully equipped repair shop
